As technology continues to evolve, the need to instill and reinforce the concept of digital citizenship remains constant. Christine Feller, Internet Safety Specialist with the llinois Attnorney General’s Office High Tech Crimes Bureau, discusses the need for creating a digital culture within a household and the community while highlighting current trends and digital platforms. Cyberbullying, digital citizenship, self representation, sexting and online predation will be specifically addressed. Available resources to help parents facilitate digital safety conversations with their children also will be highlighted.
